Meet the Performance Specialists
Dominique Falardeau
RD, MA, International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition
Co-Founder and Owner of Sport Performance Specialists, Registered Dietitian, Certified Sports Dietitian from the International Olympic Committee
I am dedicated to empower clients with the ability to learn how to eat, rather than just telling them what to eat. My goal is to make sports nutrition simple and effective to enable athletes to focus on other aspects of their sports performance plan. With a compassionate approach, I strive to guide clients to find their own version of healthy eating to promote a sustainable lifestyle and the achievement of their sports performance goals. I believe clients are the experts of their own bodies and involve them in the development of personalized nutrition strategies.
My interest in sports nutrition comes from years of playing soccer at the regional, provincial, national, and university level. With a very high training and competing load throughout my childhood, adolescence and early adulthood, I’ve had plenty of first hand experience with living an active lifestyle.
From this experience, I became passionate about helping athletes obtain the knowledge and make informed decisions on how to properly fuel their bodies to continue to practice the sports that they love to the fullest.

Co-Founder/Owner Sport Performance Specialists, Registered Kinesiologist, Registered Dietitian and Certified Sports Dietitian from the International Olympic Committee
I have been an athlete my whole life training at various levels and types of sports whether it was soccer, volleyball, paddling, golf or dance and so many more. I loved so many aspects of sport/physical activity that I started coaching, training and working with athletes as a teenager. It was at this point that I decided to start studying sport and exercise science along with nutrition sciences. From here I went on to grad studies with a specialization in pediatric nutrition as well as sports nutrition in order to continue to work with athletes of all levels.
I have worked as a clinical dietitian for 15 years while at the same time running a private practice, working on various research projects, being part of Hopewell’s Eating Disorders Support Centre as a Board Member as well as actively involved in Eating Disorders Ontario.
